In the serene Bay of Kotor, a leisurely 45-minute walk away from the Sea Gate, the western entrance into Kotor’s Old Town (served by bus), along the lovely Dobrota coastal promenade, Hotel R Palazzo overlooks the vivid blue Adriatic and the green awesomeness of Prcanj, a charming coastal town across the bay.
A 10-minute drive away in the other direction lies the quaint, picturesque Perast (served by bus); you can also get there easily by taxi for less than 15€. The hotel is 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) from Tivat Airport and 43 miles (70 kilometers) away from Dubrovnik Airport, Croatia. There are several small beaches and decent waterfront restaurants nearby.

The large double beds, with ultra-plush mattresses, are exceptionally comfortable. The commodious rooms are well-equipped with up-to-date amenities, an abundance of sockets, and lots of closet space. All bathrooms come with a walk-in rain shower and are stocked with premium toiletries.

The hotel staff are friendly, hospitable, and highly professional, and the receptionists are happy to arrange day excursions and transfers. The hotel bar is on the ground floor, boasting a cozy outdoor courtyard, but the star attraction is the soul-stirring infinity pool and adjacent deck lined with slick and modern sun beds and parasols.
Should the lounging and splashing prove too much, you can retreat to an impressive rooftop jacuzzi (prior reservation required), with equally sweeping bay views and magnificent sunsets. The hotel is a fine choice, especially for couples, and is currently one of the best hotels in Kotor.

A splendid continental breakfast buffet, plus a la carte omelets and the java that we all love is provided in the elegant restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, with outdoor seating on the poolside patio shaded by big white canopies, overlooking the Adriatic. There’s a generous choice of baked pastries, fresh fruits, sausages, and sliced meats and cheeses.
Also for dinner, the best tables are outside, on the sea-view veranda. The hotel restaurant serves a good range of local Adriatic and International cuisine, including grilled sea bass with Swiss chard, steaks, roast meats, and vibrant seasonal salads. The service is great and the delicious dishes are best paired with one of the high-quality Montenegrin wines.
Close to the Hotel
The hotel is located just 75 meters away from the sea. Days can be spent swimming open-water laps, snorkeling, or kayaking/stand-up paddling along the peaceful shoreline of Boka Bay. You might also consider hopping on a boat to the pretty Our Lady of the Rocks island and Lustica’s hidden cove beaches.
Nearby, the villages of Ljuta and Orahovac are made up of old, beautiful stone cottages and Baroque palazzi, and from there a scenic waterfront promenade dotted with cozy restaurants and cafes curves around the bay, leading to a series of small and secluded pebble beaches, backed by oleander, palms, and evergreen conifers.
