Corso Levante Kotor

Kotor’s first and only design hotel occupies a prime stretch of Montenegrin coastline, overlooking its small pebble beach and the Bay of Kotor. The Corso Levante Luxury Suites are housed in a contemporary, cube-shaped building, designed by a renowned Montenegrin architect – a rare find in Kotor’s hospitality landscape.

The inspiring contemporary residences show incredible attention to detail, come with staggered, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and have gorgeous sea and beach views. The beautifully landscaped front garden, with olive trees and palms, and the breathtaking rooftop pool are big draws, too. In short: low-profile luxury.

Location

Set in the leafy residential neighborhood of Dobrota, amidst traditional Mediterranean buildings, Corso Levante’s two-storey white cube-like structure undoubtedly stands out. Some neighbors think this new building is an eyesore while others consider it an architectural treasure – on which side do you stand?

Keen walkers may not mind the 45-minute stroll to Kotor’s main cultural landmarks which are concentrated in the pedestrianized maze of narrow cobblestone streets and made up of the UNESCO-listed Kotor City Walls, the 12th-century Kotor Cathedral, and Kotor Fortress which sits atop the towering San Giovanni hill.

The Corso Levante Luxury Suites offer the ideal, goldilock base location, not too far from the center but also not too close to the sometimes over-touristy historic core, which is also served by the Blue Line bus route. Tivat International Airport is 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) from here and the airport in Dubrovnik, Croatia is 43 miles (70 kilometers) away.

Unwind and Indulge

Facilities at this small boutique retreat are limited to the rooftop pool and the private, super-clean hotel beach that is lined with comfortable sun loungers and parasols. Breakfast can be enjoyed either in your room or, in genuine Mediterranean style from the comfort of your sunbed.

Enjoy generous portions of made-to-order omelettes or scrambled eggs with bacon, freshly baked croissants, and other pastries, a fine selection of sliced seasonal fruits with yogurt and nuts, plant-based milk, and different types of proper coffee from an Italian espresso machine. At the same time, you watch the sunrise over the bay.

No doubt, the jewel in the family-runCorso Levante’s crown is the extraordinary service quality (on-call 24 hours), delivered by the friendly and accommodating staff. It is rare to find such kindliness and high standards nowadays. Whatever your reason for visiting Kotor, staying at the Corso Levante will improve your experience.

Where You Will Sleep

Close to the Hotel

The neighborhood of Dobrota is one of Kotor’s most coveted. and is considered a gourmet destination in its own right. You can find many wonderful traditional fish taverns and quaint waterfront restaurants en route to the old town. For a special occasion or dinner, try the highly-regarded La Ricetta, serving contemporary Italian cuisine and steaks.

The Blue Line Bus stops nearby and runs to nearby Perast, a pristine coastal town with a rich history which is 5 miles (8 kilometers) away. It takes around half an hour to drive to Tivat, home to one of Europe’s most beautiful super yacht marinas and a good range of international restaurants.
